The basic eligibility norm to apply for a real estate license is to be at least 18 years old and a citizen of the USA. A high school pass or equivalent is also necessary.

Next, go through the hours of pre-licensing coursework as mandated by the state body. This duration varies between states in the country. Always select a state-approved pre-licensing coursework otherwise, it will not be counted as having fulfilled the required norm to appear for the licensing exam to get a real estate license.

One of the top state-approved online course providers in the USA is RealEstateU. Check out their test prep and study guides too.

After completing the coursework, submit your fingerprints for verification of any past criminal record. An adverse report will bar you from applying for a real estate license.

Schedule the licensing test on the state portal and appear for the exam on the date allotted. The test is in a multiple-choice format and you must score at least 75% to crack it.

Once you clear the exam, apply for a real estate license, upload proof of having completed the required hours of pre-licensing coursework and the fingerprint clearance certificate. You must also pay the license application fee.

Find a broker to sponsor you.

You will now be awarded a real estate license.
